Profile My name is José Luis Salgueiro Vidal and I am a photographer, screenwriter and senior image technician. First of all, thank you for taking the time to know a little about me. If you have come this far, it is because you like my work, you want to know me a little better and know my style and way of working. I am a lover of stories and a hunter of memories. Capturing smiles, glances, caresses, tears...etc is what I'm passionate about. I love putting creative ideas and projects of all kinds into practice. I enjoy both behind the camera and in front of it, although I prefer to always be behind the lens. Higher Technician in Image, and diploma in Film and TV script. I live in Pontevedra, and my studio is located in that city. How was Fotoskye Studio born? Fotoskye Studio was born in 2010 online after finishing my studies and working for different companies in the sector, both in the world of nightlife and events. After closing Localia Pontevedra in 2012, I set up my own photography studio in Marin (Pontevedra) until I moved to Pontevedra in 2017, my current location.
What style would you define yourself with? I don't really think that a style needs to be defined, but rather a way of working. There may be different styles, modernist, avant-garde, journalistic... etc, but I think that what best defines me is being a scriptwriter of Photography. In my photographs, I try to capture what really goes unnoticed on a day as important as a wedding; but without forgetting what is fundamental. Looks, caresses, gestures... in each and every one of the weddings I do, stories can be told with a single photograph or a story with millions. I am one of those who tries to tell a story with few photographs despite taking many. I don't like forced poses, nor that the report is all classicism, I like to innovate, that the report is elegant, different, has movement and above all that the images speak for themselves.

How do you consider yourself? I consider myself a lover of Black and White photography despite the fact that I take my photographs in both modes (Color and B/W), and a lover of stories. Many times I was asked if I have made what I consider the best report of my life. I truly believe that everyone is different, new and innovative and there is no report that I consider to be better or worse. Each report, whether it is about Wedding, fashion, Communion or whatever, is a new experience, a challenge to jump into and a new way of innovating and applying new techniques and aspects. That's why I like working as a photographer, each report teaches you something new. One of the photographers that I have as a reference among many that I follow or know, is Pablo Béglez. Many times I have stopped to think if I really should be the one who tells how I am (about me) or rather how I see things through my camera and what I want to tell. I was struck by that vision of Pablo Bélguez that he has and that I have often thought about. "What you have in front of your eyes is "about you". Yes, don't be scared... more than a hundred times and in a while it will be more than a thousand. Although I have never had the pleasure of being the boyfriend." (Pablo Béglez) Really, when you are getting married, you look for something specific, a style of photography, something different, that catches your attention. But the main protagonist of the story that I will tell through my photographs will be you. I will only be a mere scriptwriter accompanied by my camera where I will talk about you in my story.
